The Marjal Foundation in the Valencian Community was established in 2009 in the aim of contributing to progress in science, technology, culture, environmental protection and human and social values, and in general, everything related to the well-being of citizens; and in this manner its resources designated to society are assigned to goals related to responsible management and sustainability. Specifically, its objectives are research, study and the starting up of programmes focusing on:
- Nutritional and food related habits
- Healthy lifestyle through sports
- Reinforcement of traditional values, popular folklore and arts
- Social and occupational insertion of people with disabilities or integration issues
- Promotion of activities and initiatives in the field of social volunteering and cooperation in their development
- Protection of the environment, and flora and fauna
